Artificial intelligence will guide you on your next trip to monuments and cultural sites. Rome, 10 October – Over 120 applications were submitted for the award for best innovative tourism start-up at Invitalia's Smart Tourism Accelerathon , held as part of the Economia Come festival at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. Of the 10 finalists in the competition, only one startup from Campania managed to place third and win one of the cash prizes. The Thinking Clouds, an innovative startup from Benevento, presented its Woolysses project, an app that allows visitors to small art cities to engage with the place's guardian spirit, the Genius Loci, who will provide advice, multimedia content, and stories in the form of interactive tours.
Woolysses plans to develop a cloud-based technology solution capable of fueling knowledge and providing the services of a "smart assistant." The proposed technology platform will be able to respond to the needs of users (visitors to art cities), consistently providing useful content at the right time and in the right place. Dynamic segmentation and real-time analytics, combined with predictive models, enable the provision of personalized content and recommendations, next-best actions, and the ability to anticipate the needs of each individual user. “This result not only rewards our commitment but also supports us on a business journey with new allies,” commented Livio Ascione , marketing manager and co-founder of The Thinking Clouds, emphasizing the importance of starting a business journey that helps people learn about cultural sites using the technology we use every day. Woolysses aims to become a game changer in the way people visit monuments and archaeological sites, inviting users not only to proactively participate in the visit, but also guiding them through an immersive experience that will generate economic benefits for the area, increasing visits and generating new business. |
