The Thinking Clouds SRL Celebrates the Success of the ARIEL Project as Part of the MASAF 2023 Three-Year Fisheries Plan

The Thinking Clouds SRL announces the completion of a major project in the fisheries sector, carried out in collaboration with UNCI Agroalimentare and as part of the Three-Year Fisheries Plan for 2023, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (MASAF). The project, called ARIEL, introduces an intelligent monitoring system for fisheries, integrated into the "INFO PESCA" app.

The ARIEL project marks a turning point in the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the fisheries sector, through the implementation of a real-time monitoring and geolocation system for fishing gear. The system uses Automatic Identification System (AIS) devices mounted on fishing vessels, which help prevent gear loss and reduce marine pollution caused by ghost fishing nets.

The “INFO FISHING” app, developed by The Thinking Clouds, provides an easy-to-access portal to regulations, marine conditions, training tools and tutorials, including animated videos to facilitate the use of the ARIEL system.

ARIEL's success represents an important milestone for The Thinking Clouds SRL and UNCI Agroalimentare, setting a new standard for technological innovation and environmental commitment in the fishing industry.
