Rocco Calascius and the Rocca's Breath – Our Experience at the Calascio Innovation Playground

A digital legend born in the clouds of Abruzzo

I am Rocco Calascius,
sentinel in the clouds,
protector of the Rock,
voice that vibrates among the stones,
breath that spans the centuries.

These words resonated within the walls of Calascio during the Glooci presentation workshop, hosted at the Calascio Innovation Playground and promoted by Giffoni Innovation Hub.

In that room, immersed in the silence of the plateau, technology met legend.
A group of students created an interactive story in which the Rocca takes on a voice, and its soul manifests in Rocco Calascius—a mythical guardian, half-man and half-creature, ready to defend his land.

It is from this spark that Calascio's experience on Glooci was born, a digital narrative that unites history, territory, and imagination, allowing anyone to explore the Rocca through a new language: that of emotion and interaction.
